Musée de la Préhistoire régionale

The museum features the Neolithic material discovered in caves in the Saint-Pons region, including the Resplandy cave. A major site of recent European prehistory, the Camprafaud cave is specifically detailed (ancient Neolithic to ancient Bronze).

Display cases with clear explanations, models, videos and a documentary film permit a self-guided tour. A large location table of the Saint Ponian and megalithic sites occupies the educational area.

The highlight of the museum is the presentation of menhir statues in an original sound and light show.

Groups are welcomed in the entrance hall, the temporary exhibition room. Presentation of the of Prehistory Museum followed by a guided tour and a video on life in the Neolithic era.
